The AC DC converter 11084 is coupled to the power supply connector 11082 and configured to generate one or more DC supply voltages to drive various electronic components of the doorbell camera 106. The voltage regulator 11086 is configured to regulate the one or more DC supply voltages to one or more internal supply voltages as needed. The power unit 11088 is coupled to the image sensor array 1114 and/or the image processor to provide power therefor. In some implementations, the sensor board 1108 further includes one or more storage capacitors that are configured to enable voltage conversion and regulation by the AC DC converter 11084 and the voltage regulator 11086. In some implementations, the main board 1110 includes at least a central processing unit CPU, a memory system e. g. , motion start information and source information 503 such as device settings for a camera 118 or 106 e. g. , a device profile 3165 for camera 118 or 106. In some implementations, the event processor sub module 3146 communicates with the video source 501. The server system sends alerts for events 512 and event timeline information 513 to the client device 220.

For my next test, I installed this near a second floor window at several different angles. Of course, seeing the window was fine. However, who would put such a camera on the second floor and then just simply aim it at the window? After all, if a criminal is desperate enough to try and get in through the second floor window, they will probably find a way to do it. But, then again, what kind of stupid criminal would bring a 20 foot ladder with them for this purpose?Or even try this method of entry, when they could do the same thing on the first floor? The night vision feature is also very good. Personally, after having reviewed a number of these cameras, I now think that night vision of some type should really be a requirement. After all, if the camera cannot take an accurate and viewable picture after dark, what good is it?Do you really think that a burglar will come in broad daylight and leave their calling card?I think not! This model has 36 infrared LED lights that provide the night vision ability. I had no trouble seeing anything even in the dead of darkest night. Actually, the viewable range was at least as good at night as it was during the day. I could see faces very clearly up to about 25 feet. With the Defender SP301 C, the night vision is acceptable, but very basic. The camera has 12 Infrared LED lights, which allow you to see fairly clear images even in the dark.

When looking at your budget, prices boil down to a set of one time and regular fees. Most security systems require a monthly payment for monitoring and a one time payment for the equipment. You can find systems without a monthly fee like Nest Secure that allow you to monitor your own home, but the initial cost is steeper. Research security system options. Although it would be difficult to design and produce your own security system and successfully market it, there are companies who can sell you a private label security system you can market under your company’s name. However, as there are many leaders already in the home security business who have a good track record, it would be smart to simply become a dealer in the security systems already available.
